Privacy Policy for VWO Live Test Checker

Effective Date: June 18, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how the VWO Live Test Checker Chrome Extension ("we," "our," or "us") handles information.

1. Data Collection and Usage

The sole purpose of this extension is to check for active VWO (Visual Website Optimizer) tests on the webpage you are currently viewing. To do this, the extension performs the following functions:

• Website Content: When you activate the extension, it reads VWO-related data directly from the page's JavaScript objects (e.g., window._vwo_exp). This data is considered "Website Content."

The information read from the page is used exclusively to display the active tests to you within the extension's popup window.

2. Data Storage and Transfer

• No Data Storage: The extension does not store, save, or log any of the data it reads from the webpage. The information is discarded as soon as the popup window is closed.
• No Data Transfer: The extension does not send any data to any external servers. All processing is done locally on your computer. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any user data to third parties.

3. Permissions

The extension requires minimal permissions to function:

• tabs and scripting: To run the script on the active tab when you click the button.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy in the future if the extension's functionality changes. Any updates will be reflected in a new version of the extension.
